Suncoast General Contracting & Remediation, Inc. is an approved Contractor for Hurricane Wind Mitigation services as outlined in the My Safe Florida Home program, Contractor Participation #: 13382, and Blueprint for Safety as directed by FLASH: Federal Alliance for Safe Homes. Suncoast services not only St Petersburg, Clearwater and Tampa, we cover Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
For those who are able to qualify, there are Free Wind Inspections and a Matching Grant for up to $5,000.00, towards specific improvements that will strengthen your home against the forces of Hurricane Winds. The first step is to apply for a free inspection, however, not all properties are eligible for free wind inspections, included are: mobile homes and manufactured homes, apartments, condominiums, multi-family dwellings and businesses.

| Medical Waiver for Permanent Shutters: |
|
If you currently have hurricane-rated removable shutters and are unable to deploy the shutters because of age or because of a medical condition, you can apply for a grant to upgrade the shutters to a permanently attached option. You must submit a letter from your physician, on his/her office letterhead, documenting the medical necessity for the upgrade.¹
